SECOND GRADE READERS THEATRE

This morning, both Richard and I had the privelege of hearing Hannah read in the Second Grade Reader's Theatre! She had to read a biography of her choosing to her class and their parents. She did a super great job! She chose Laura Ingalls Wilder. Reading has been one of Hannah's biggest obstacles, so this was a BIG day for her, and we were SOOO proud of her. Classical education incorporates teaching kids how to clearly express themselves, their opinions and ideas. They begin "speaking" in front of others at a young age. Something I wish I had learned when I was young. I'm so glad to see that I have passed on my love for this author to my girls, I read her books to them almost every night. We have read through the whole series several times now. It's one of our favorite times of the day, all snuggled up together in Mom's bed listening to chapter after chapter....

Way to go Hannah! You are super great! We are SO proud of you. Guess what? Yesterday Tanek kept calling for Honnah. He was looking all over for you and wondered where you went. You are one of his favorite people.
We love you!

Nana - thats so cute! We all like to say Hannah's name "Tanek style" lately. At Sonflower Sisters on Sunday, Hannah got to experience life in Russia through some recipes, crafts, and even writing her name in Russian letters. Now we know where Tanek gets his pronunciations from! Her name sounded very much like the way Tanek says it! It was so interesting....
