IN THE GARDEN

Inadvertent Farmer
It's that time of year again! We just love to be outdoors working in the yard and in our little tiny garden. My Banana is an avid lover of anything involving outdoors, so she even has her own garden. We were hoping to make it a little bigger this year, but so far it hasn't happened. The strawberries have come up very nicely though - we are hoping to keep the bunnies away from them this year.

See the little green strawberry?

Boo likes the blossoms best.

Some of my favorite things in the garden are seeing little girls hands digging with pink shovels...
Photobucket
I love little boo-boos next to blossoms..
Photobucket
I love little girl ponytails shimmering in the sunshine....
Photobucket
I love the little hands that aren't afraid to get DIRTY!!!
Photobucket
I love how they see the weeds as priceless treasures to gather.

and seeing them work together..... (that is until someone spilled the carrot seeds and then a sister-squall-which-escalated-into-a-slapping-session started)..........sigh........

But I am MOST excited about my two pots of Cilantro that we planted and will stay on the deck away from the bunnies!! I seriously love cilantro.... I mean seriously.... I eat it all by itself..

Even the teenage girls around here love to garden - they planted sunflower seeds!

Banana has some sort of bulbs that she planted that are reeeeeaaaally taking their time coming up. She planted them so many weeks ago, I honestly can't even remember what they are. And I re-planted some impatiens seedlings into my seed pods. For some reason my last batch didn't work at all. It's hard to keep enough water in these little pods but I'm determined this time!

Happy Gardening - and head over HERE to see some other great gardens!!

What a inspiring and completely beautiful post. It is so sweet to see all of them out in the garden!

I am not going to let me 7 year with only four brother see it though, she already whines for a sister every day. If she saw all your girls gardening together she would be impossible!

Can't wait to see the sunflowers, my fave! Kim

Your post gave me the "gardening itch". However, I'm trying to patiently wait until I finish preschool. As always, love your post!

Love your garden Hannah. Wish you were here to help us with ours. You have a green thumb. And I have never considered dandelions (spelling) a weed. They are beautiful yellow flowers. WHen I was a little girl I always picked them for my mom. I wish they grew in our yard.
