Guest on Samaritan's Purse Website

Check out the blog over at the Samaritan's Purse Website today, titled "The Right Box for the Right Child".   Enchanted Warrior wrote a post yesterday about our volunteer experience at the distribution warehouse packaging up the shoeboxes -and they featured it on their website, along with a picture of us - check it out!!   And it's still not too late to package a shoebox for a child in need.

You can read the post I wrote about it here.

Love Samaritan's Purse! We've been doing shoeboxes for years now, but this year we are hoping to track ours.

Pretty neat. I love the OCC. Our church is big in supporting and distributing these boxes. Our goal this year was 1,234 boxes and the last count I think was something like 1,247 boxes. Not bad for a church our size. This is something I really look forward to doing every year. It is a great outreach and I love hearing back from some that got the boxes. One orphanage got like 2 or 3 boxes and divided them up among 15 children. So you never know when there are duplicates they might really be needed.
