Punkins Room

Punkins room was the last one I worked on, and boy am I glad I saved hers until last or I might not have attempted the other two.    Apparently she is very sentimental about MANY things.  She saves everything. Pretty sure she gets that from her Nana :)    She told me to be ruthless and just purge anything I wanted to but not to show it to her.   I was worried I would get rid of things that were really special to her.  I needn't have worried.  I kept a nice big bin under her bed of anything that had special meaning, if I was unsure, I saved it.   I happily got rid of FOUR garbage bags of junk from her room.  FOUR!!!!     Along with discovering that all missing scissors in the house had found their way to her room.  I found EIGHT scissors. And five sticks of deodorant.

So - the  before picture.....

And after.......

She loved it!!

Ahhh such a sweet mama! I just may go do the same in my girl's room. I remember coming home from school after my mom cleaned and purged our room...sweet memories.

Yes she may get that from her nana and I couldn't let anyone purge my room of all my valuables. I am putting them in plastic shoe boxes though so when I am gone you guys can just dump them if you so choose. Her room looks great. Nice to see she is still using the little cedar chest.

Four garbage bags--WOW! Her room looks great--I know the girls are very appreciative of all your hardwork this week. Enjoy your weekend!

Haha Kristi!! Of course you would notice that!! When I showed Punkin the "before" picture to get her approval for posting, she said "I love that you can see my Cosequin bucket" :)

I wondered what that bucket was. Thought it was a big bucket of munchies for when she needed a snack. Shows how much I know.

The Cosequin bucket is actually full of books... I got the bucket from a horse show Nutramax Labs sponsored :) It's quite functional.
