Susquehanna River
Today was such a mild late winter day that we decided to explore along the banks of the Susquehanna River. Boo had some lessons in how to skip rocks (we wore our protective eye wear) - that girl is dangerous when throwing rocks.
The girls climbed and climbed over fallen trees and river rocks. I think Boo is happiest when she has something to climb on.
We loved exploring the area - we were right at the location where the Susquehanna River feeds into the Chesapeake Bay, north of Baltimore, MD.
We spotted hopeful signs of spring!
We hiked along an old railroad track.
and found lots of interesting trees along the river's edge...
We marveled at the old washed out railroad and thought of the men that built it so long ago.
The hubby and his humorous picture idea.....
Oh it looks lovely there, and it's so nice to see that you are all feeling better and getting out and about again xx
ReplyDeleteI meant to add, my brother lives higher up on that river, on the NY/PA border!!
