OUR END OF SCHOOL YEAR CELEBRATION CAMP OUT!

To celebrate our end of the school year - we had a family camp-out!!

complete with a hot dog roast

lots of happy dancing....

crab walking..

fun and running...

till we laughed so hard we fell down!!

we made S'mores...

and had s'more S'mores...

and played with fire... :)

while the teenage variety took occasional texting breaks - texting her buddy who also happened to be camping!!

we caught fire flies...

and enjoyed our boys...

and danced some more..

Daddy told us some "smooky" (Boo's word) stories around the fire...

and the story of how Mommy and Daddy met and married....

and then we played with fire some more...

and so did Daddy...

and then we all, including the puppies, fell happily and very tiredly into our tent in the backyard (which Punkin and I just happened to put up all by OURSELVES!! - we were so proud)

MEMORIAL DAY

This Memorial Day weekend, I am reminded of all those who are serving our country and I couldn't help remember having the privelege to photograph a sweet military homecoming. This Captain was coming home to meet his newborn son for the first time. This was one of the first sessions I did as a photographer - it was a special one.
