Winter Birds 2015

One of my favorite ways to pass the time during winter is to photograph the birds right off my deck.  These pictures were all taken through my sliding glass door (so I can stay nice and warm), standing there in my jammies most likely.   It really doesn't have to be a huge production to get amazing pictures of wildlife.  You just need to have a somewhat decent camera, a really good lens (I used my 135 mm), a bit of patience and some willing subjects! If I can do this - anyone can do this.

Decorating for Spring

It's the first day of spring here in the mid-Atlantic, and guess what? It's snowing......sigh.......
Oh well, this Florida girl has her house all ready for spring anyway!

I made this cute little bunny nest after seeing one that Ann made at On Sutton Place. I just love the ideas she shares on her blog!  I know bunnies don't live in nests, and they certainly don't lay eggs, but I just like it.  So, don't be like my kids and get all theoretical and logical about bunnies and nests and eggs.  HA!

This cute printable is also from On Sutton Place  and the little bunny figurine is always one of my favorites.  I bought this the first Easter I was pregnant with my first girl Punkin - in 1994.

Yep, that's right - the temperature outside is 33 degrees but inside it's SPRING!

My Punkin did this chalk drawing when she was home on spring break.  I love it.

These two little bunnies are so sweet and special to me - Banana and I painted them together one day many years ago.

That's it! Thanks for stopping by - and Bailey would like to say Happy Spring!

Hannah's Surprise 15th Birthday

We had so much fun planning a big surprise party for Banana's 15th birthday.  I thought maybe I would throw her off doing it this year instead of for her big 16th birthday.  Nana was here from FL to help celebrate, and Punkin came home from college for the weekend to surprise her too!   We had a fun Ice Cream Shop theme to the party.

 Waiting to surprise Hannah-Banana!

My two favorite college girls were both here - what a treat! And the fabulous Madison took all the pictures you see here.  :)  Well - except maybe that one!

We played lots of fun "minute to win it" type games.

Ice cream sundae time!

Re-enacting a picture from when they were two years old!

Tim and Nana comparing eye surgery stories - oh my!

Happy Birthday Hannah-Banana - hope it was the best one yet! :)
